Marking 75 years since the liberation of Auschwitz

Holocaust Survivor Eve Kugler

'A hidden child of the Holocaust: my story'

Eve was born in Germany, and was seven years old in 1938 when Kristallnacht – the night of the broken glass – took place. Her family was torn apart by the Nazis, her parents survived concentration camps, her youngest sister forced into hiding, and Eve and her other sister sent to America and into foster homes. Remarkably, they were all reunited in 1946.

Scott Saunders

Scott was born in London and attended University College School. He began a career in the financial services which took him to NY, Tokyo and Hong Kong. While living in Asia, Scott became involved in holocaust education and on returning to the UK in 2010, he set up March of the Living UK. He also did his Masters in Research at the University of Southampton with his dissertation on Displaced Persons Camps in Germany after WW2. Scott now lives in N London with his wife and family, and is Chairman of March of the Living UK, which to date has taken almost 2500 people on this powerful journey.
